3 piece wheels

I have a set of 17 inch, 3 piece wheels, and want to get them rebuilt with wider outer rims. The inner rim and centre will stay the same, but the overall effect will be to widen the wheel by about 4 inches.

The problem is that the spacing between the bolts which hold the wheels together is 350mm, and the biggest 'Image Wheels' ( who are the recognised 3 piece wheel specialists ) can do on their machinery is 335mm.

Does anyone know of a wheel company, or a metal spinning company that makes wheels in the UK, that might be able to help me?

Hi Chris -

Speak to Ray Christopher, he has had wheels made with a different clearance on the inner section (behind the spokes) to allow for larger calipers - I think?? so he will probably know who to speak to....
