Hello

What a fantastic site, have been browsing for several months and thought it was about time to join up,unlike most on this forum I am not building a GT40,but specialise in painting them, along with other fibreglass vehicles.Have had a long association with Robert Logan and the superb vehicles built at Roaring Forties.
I am looking forward to many interesting conversations with true enthusiasts.
Regards
Allan Knight

Re: Hello

Hi Allan

I don't have a GT40 yet but hopefully soon. What I do have is a 1983 Lotus Esprit Turbo that I have restored from the frame up. Time to paint the body and the previous owner had it painted but they just covered up all the problems without fixing them first. Stress cracks show up in the paint from front to back and top to bottom. Some very small and some enormous. We have done 99% of the work and I will paint the car myself too. What is your advice on fixing, prepping and painting the Esprit?

Many thanks for your time and help,
louis
