Been lurking for a while and reading many of the interesting posts.
I don't have a GT40, but someday hope to. I just spent 2 years restoring my '69 Z/28 Camaro so I don't think I could convince my wife to let me have another toy right now. In the meatime I'm hoping to learn from everyone so I can make a good decision when the time comes.
Your Camaro looks cool. I am truly a Chevy guy as well but I came over to the dark side to recreate my childhood dreams. It wouldn't be right to run a SBC in a gt40! A mate of mine back in the states restored a 69 DZ car with original 4 wheel disc brakes. I am sure to this day his wife does not know what he put into that car.
As you have undoubtedly found there are many GT40 replicas available to match your individual tastes and desires. Have fun learning!
