NEWBEI from Maine

I just registered to the forum.
I ordered a Superformance MKII over this past weekend (6-7 Jan 2007).
I am a novice when it comes to motors, clutch, and transaxle.
Granted, I will need a RBT/ZF, and I think my choice of engines will be a Rouch 427R.
But, I need advice on such things as:
1. Suppliers of Rouch engines. How does one go about buying one?
2. If I know what engine I'll ultimately purchase, how do I know exactly what clutch, flywheel, and other miscellaneous stuff I'll need.
3. Exactly what is it I'm asking for when I call RBT (Lloyd, I gather from reading on the forum) for a transaxle.
4. The dealer has offered to recommend an installer and handle every thing, but how do I know what would be a reasonable price.

In general, I'm not sure where I go from here. This is new territory.
Any advise, and/or suggestions would appreciated.
Thanks.

Don,

Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place!

Don't bet on Lloyd reading the forum. Use the search function and search on RBT and you'll get a lot of info, bottom line: get you order in yesterday (fax is recommended)!

Also, read through the Superformance Manu. forum. You'll find a wealth of info there.
