Greetings from Wellington, New Zealand

Hi All,

been lurking for a while, and marvelling at the depth of info and experience on here. I'm a Kiwi from Wellington with a great and tolerant wife Leah, and three beaut girls 13-11yrs. I work in the electricity industry, and am involved in renewable energy development.

My most recent motorsport experience involved building and then campaigning a twin turbo 454 powered Jag XJ sedan at club meetings and on the occasional tarmac rally events - that was fun but ultimately was one huge battle against the laws of physics and as I crept up the boost everything else started to become unreliable.

Consequently I parted that car out and am now building a replica McLaren M1C - going for something light, nimble, easy to work on, with a bit of character. I commissioned chassis and panels from Autotune in the UK, and it will be running a 2 7/16 IR hilborn EFI setup on a 434 SBC with inverted 930 transaxle. Running gear is here, chassis arrives in port Wellington on 30th July. Very excited.

Cheers, Andrew Robertson
