British shock engineer in France

Hi and good afternoon,

My name's Mike and I am based in south east France. My initial reason for coming on here was to look for some GT40 parts for a colleague but reading some of these posts has bought back some fine memories.

In the late 60's my father was responsible for internal PR at Ford Motor Company. He actually bought home a road going GT40 one night and as an impressionable 10 or so year old I was smitten by the car. And still am...

I now work in my own business making dampers here in France after a long competition career.

You are some lucky people with those beautiful cars. Enjoy.

Mike

Mike, great to hear from you and welcome. I can only imagine what you must have been like as a 10 year old seeing a road going GT 40. I would not have been able to sleep knowing it was at the house. Did you get a ride in teh beast? Photos? Enjoy the forum its a wealth of info and pics.

Hi Mike, Welcome.

Where in South East France? we have a member on here, Rene, who lives near Nice. I also manage to get down there from time to time, as my parents have a place in Cogolin.

...and to round it all off... I work for Ford
