Hello - first post. I am a retired geezer who lives in Southern California. My first hands on experience with a GT40 was at a Chaffey Ford, a car dealership in Hawthorne California. My friend worked there. Service manager was Jack Balch who had some contact with Shelby on 190th st in Torrance, CA. A few miles down the road.
The car was a blue, single color. Wire wheels.
I have pictures of the event. I'd like to replicate that car - just because.
Hope to meet some swell people here - I have been in Porsche and Ferrari for years.
