Help in finding Rear Mufflers for the T70 in the UK

Hi Guy and Gals (are there any female T70 owners?)
Can anyone suggest where I can get rear silencers for the T70 in the UK?
Some tracks have limits of 98dbs so wanted to cover this in case we turn up and get sent away !
Any problems re the engine in fitting silencers? I presume you'd loose soem power, but any more issues ?
many thanks,
matthew

GD fit some additional silencing to their GD on some trackdays to reach the 98 db limit, these hang off the existing, ang point down towards the rear corners. Not pretty, but do the job.

All you need are some slip in silencers. They are held in place with pip pins.
Slip in a silencer, drill a hole all the way through both the silencer and the exhaust pipe, and put in the pip pins, which will cost more than the silencers.

I went to Pep Boys and bought two of the type you see on the back of , well, street racer mazdas or "2 Fast 2 Furious" type cars for 30 bucks each. They work great as far as taking the car from 105db down to 98db at the local track. I just pushed them in until they stopped ( I have megaphones) and then drilled holes all the way through everything and put in some big pins. It is about a three beer job including the trip to Pep Boys, and watching "They Were Expendable". I realize the port side pin is at an angle, but so was I.

Re: Help in finding Rear Mufflers for the T70 in the UK

Hi, I bought these from Summit (USA) $140 for the pair, fitting them this weekend to see if they make the difference, thanks guys

Any idea on where I can buy a spare set of 4 x wheels for the t70 for track days etc, any idea who sells these and how much? With the exchange rate its probably best buying from the US?

I need 6 nut wheels like these .... oh and a few picys of my first cleaning day.
