No Ford GT in Canada, dammit!!

Just got back from the local dealer in town, apparently, the dealers here in Canada have been told that the Federal Gov't wants to crash test two (2) cars and are insisting on bumpers (front and rear) and other totally unnecessary stuff to even qualify for certification.

Geez, I guess they think soccer moms are going to drive Ford GTs to go grocery shopping!!!!!

What really is aggravating is that similiar cars such as the new Lamborghini Mucielango / Gallardo, and other exotics such as F*&%ari, etc are exempted!

They were planning on a run of 200 per year up here but alas, it doesn't appear promising...

Oh well, just more for our great neighbours to the south.
