I have a rich buddy who has $ to burn. Been calling dealers all day with no luck. Amazing how many dealers say, yeah, we got one, but it's not for sale.

At the risk of coming across as pedantic, it sounds like you're looking for a "Ford GT". The new car is the "GT", not a "GT40". Try looking on ebay - it seems like the vast majority of the new GT's were bought as a speculative venture.

You are right...I meant GT of course. I have gt40 in my brain due this site.
I looked at ebay. I guess it's sad that ebay has taken over the role of salesman for the dealers.
I just might bid on a white on there this weekend. It'll be fun if nothing else.

I believe there is a white Ford GT at either Future Ford or Lithia Ford in Concord, CA. I heard they want a very high price?

From the production numbers posted, it looks like Ford has likely made at least 800 so far. Maybe they will hit the 3000 mark by the end of 06 and prices will come down to MSRP or lower. | |

They are into the high 900's range in cars that are shipped and on the ground at dealers, thay are invoicing cars into the 1100's currently. August 15 is "Job 1" for 2006 production. Expect the special "titanium color" package and perhaps a Gulf blue option.
