Bit of a bad rap for the car though!

Rep Power: 24 | Re: Clarkson returns GT Hold it...he returned the car because it had a crappy after-market alarm system? Then he bitches about Ford? And he's given and Aston Martin DB9 to drive around in while he claims in the next sentence that he's never profited from his position as an automotive journalist?
What's that term you Brits have for guys like Clarkson? A wanker? I believe the American term is "asshole." |

The journalist there has managed to get one of the 28, in black. He has had no problems. You wonder if karma is working early for those comments he made about the club members' cars

Rep Power: 12 | Re: Clarkson returns GT Yesterday I banged off a quick email to The Editor of The Times about Clarkson and his GT, and included Mark W's comments (good post Mark). They've just written back to say they're publishing part of it (I guess it may end up as a one-liner).
It will be interesting to see if Clarkson replies ...

Rep Power: 54 | Re: Clarkson returns GT Nice post, Suzanne Tosh got it right. One problem and the man lets go of a "35 year old dream"? My suggestion is his "dream" was nothing more than a passing fancy and he's now on to the next thing. If he is go interested in a GT40, then maybe he should have a replica instead of a Ford GT? Any of the manufactuers here want to have a go at building a car to make him happy???
Now, on this site, there are some folks who understand the meaning of dreams and work to acheive them. |

Rep Power: 54 | Re: Clarkson returns GT Some dream huh? An electronic alarm did it for him.
I wonder what would have happened if he'd had a real GT40 or well done GT40 replica - noise, leaks, vibration, slot car handling, blinding acceleration, etc. - I suppose he could only take it an hour huh? |

Rep Power: 4 | Re: Clarkson returns GT I think anyone who is any sort of car enthusiast will now understand where Mr.Clarkson is coming from and it is heartening to know that he is above reproach. And that any member of the public returning their faulty Ford will automatically qualify for a free DB9.
Having just enjoyed a quick blast in a GT, you would have to drag the car out of my cold dead fingers before it went back to Ford!! But it is a pity that (as ever) the car is compromised by cheap and nasty interior fittings that will not last, as seems to be the case on another thread. And where did they find those sun-visors - out of a Lada? Fords press car will be returning to the UK on Sunday after a European tour and it will be interesting to see what fell off. |

The Ford Focus Estate!!!!
