Anyone know what this is for - Just out of curiosity

Hi guys,

I've been looking at pics of the new Ford GT and I'm stumped as to what the hell this is here for? (See picture) There is no clamshell front for it to be a clamp.

Anyone got any ideas? Or does someone own one and know what it is used for. There's one on both sides of the car too.

Hi Antoni

I have a new Ford GT.
On tghe right side it is to frelease the gas cap
On the left to release the front cover/luggage space.
