Several MK IIs have been "street driven" however there were no "street" cars built or even customer versions for that matter. The Mk IIs as the MK IVs were sold off after the end of the 1967 season when Ford pulled out of international racing. As I recall, Harry Hienl in Miami Lakes, Fl. ended up owning a bunch of them over a period of time. My old Road & Tracks have lots of ads from him for "street trimmed, air conditioned" GT Mk IIs and IVs. And the outrageous prices! Why you would have to pay almost $20,000 for an old used up racecar
