Jim,

I hate to see that beautiful Lola in pieces, but I'm glad

to see that you are preserving another bit of racing

history! Please keep those restoration photos coming!

Will J6 be getting the same treatment, when the P3 is done?

Don't worry about J6. As it's been well looked after and is of much better construction I'm hopefull the tub will last longer than I will. J6 does get torn down and checked over every winter but only for inspection and cleaning. For Pebble all she needed was a fluid check and a wash.

Jim,

A little off topic but I thought the J car had a chassis that was good for just so many laps. Similar to certain helicopter parts once that time is reached, its life is over. That's why Stouffer's Mk II get run hard at the track while the J car does a slow parade lap.

My J car chassis in addition to it's LeMans miles has 20,000 street miles that I've put on over the las 12 years.
It's tub is quite alright. The discision not to race any more is mine. The car could easily run the LeMans 24 tomorrow if I wanted to.
