1041 repair report from 1998

http://www.kukuk.com/oldtimer_schadengutachten_2/index.html

i hope some of you can read german, its a few pics of 1041 in crashed state at the garage. There are also a few pictures scanned from the parts manual, with a nice pic of the monocoque.
Interesting facts in this file is that 1041 crashed in 1970 and the monocoque was replaced by a aluminium one. Supposedly a works one from abbey panels, nr 004.
The car was in 1966 delivered to a belgian guy, another belgian took over 1967. In 1974 it was sols to a dutch guy (never knew there was recently an original owned by someone in my country). It was sold again in 1996 to a german girl/woman.
More dry facts for the die hards in the file. If you want to know something, i'll translate it.

Fascinating read - much damage and a £ 75000 repair bill - does anyone know where the car is now or if it has been seen recently ?

i think at this moment 1041 is in australia, but i am not sure if it is the same one (this is not to incriminate or offend someone, sorry). His name is ron rowse, and i found it on the board, there are a couple of posts in this thread

in 2004 it still needed repairs, he says. Maybe he can clear up about the history and how it suddenly turns up in down under.

anyway i think when completed and repaired this gt40 will be at all more a replica than an original car.
From the few we can see here from pics u will save very very few original parts.

And the car value will always be the same?
