According to Ronnie Spain's book, 1028 was the first road car shipped to America. Originally sprayed silver grey , leather interior ,AC, borranis, 289/dual holleys, ZF . Car was delivered replete with underseal coating. Owned by Monterey Historics Steve Earle at some point. Chassis 1028 is sandwiched between 1027, the Grand Prix movie camera car and 1029 which driver Dick Thompson wrote off during LeMans practice in 1966. I'm always captivated and entertained by each chassis' history as they have such intriguing stories to tell.
