Look how lovely that car looks then, and to think of what other cars were around then..

Keith,
I hit the big Six-0 recently and so glad I got there.
To me the E-type was up there along with this car in the sixties.
We Brits had a knack of producing some spectacular streamlined design for about fifteen years before a GT40 rolled out of Slough.
Remember some of the aircraft produced before then, and think that the De Havilland Comet first flew in the late 1940's and remained in service up until only a few years ago.
Some achievement indeed.

Interesting rear grilles by the way.

Hi James

I have to agree, being the same age, I fondly remember an era when you looked at a car and it was instantly recognisable as a particular make or model.

Nowadays you have to look at the badge on the car to be able to identify it because they are all starting to look identical with each other.

Apart from some exotics the styling of yesterday is gone.

Dimi.
