Didn't the blue JDC car come 3rd place at this year's Pebble Beach?

Too many questions and not enough answers!

It uses the same floor pan and bulkhead. It's more a case of what is left out such as the seat pans so there is no place for the "normal" gearshift to sit. The major change for the conversion is the steering column mounting and the rack mounting.

Complicated isn't it. I've seen two chassis's on the same day, in the same room.

Re: Which is the real M3/1101...?

A friend of a friend owned P1101 a few years ago, my pal told him I was a bit of a 40 fan and invited me to Donny for a trackday, took these pics on the day.

Unfortunately the chassis plate isn't the real deal.

Re: Which is the real M3/1101...?

Just done a bit of digging and attached is a photo of the original chassis plate as fitted to 1101 showing it's original prototype number of XP103/1.

Also attached for comparison purposes is the chassis plate for 1107 which is in the form GT40/M3/1107. This type was used on all the Mk.III's except 1101.

Re: Which is the real M3/1101...?

Crikey, is it just me or is anybody else confused, just how many p1101's are there?. I bet the chap who owned p1101 in post 24 will be a bit miffed, I understand he handed over many quids for the privilege.

Re: Which is the real M3/1101...?

2003 https://www.classicdriver.com/en/art...t-2003-preview yellow road car

It was then converted to the blue race car you saw

And now its back to its original road spec

Simple !

Re: Which is the real M3/1101...?

As Jos states above, these posts all refer to the same car but at different times and specifications.
