Avengers GT40?

Hi guys,

Does anybody know which GT40 starred alongside Emma Peels in an episode of The Avengers?

Ronnie Spain said it's 1038. There's a strip of black tape on the windscreen that's visible in the TV show and in photos of the car when it was racing. Both cars have rondel lights on the doors and reflectors on the rear corner.

If you look carefully, you can see the tape above the driver in this photo:

Tape? I thought it was a "Wink" mirror.. Hmmm...

Anyway - about the car on the Avengers, I thought it curious that the front NACA ducts were blocked off..

I remember an article about this some time ago. The radiator outlet was modded with the split opening to allow the dish for the "ray beam" to extend. Perhaps the front clip is a another unit rather than the factory supplied piece or the prop people just thought they needed to "clean up" the front end for less visual clutter.

My FAV press car suggestion was based upon something I read years ago but then it might have been in an article by Wally so that would explain a lot!
