Rear Clamshell

Does anyone know exactly how the lanyard that restrains the clamshell when open was attached on the original cars?

I'm looking for how they attached to the fiberglass, not to the shocktower.

In particular, if anyone happens to know, or even better, have a photo of this area on one of the Gulf cars, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Pierre-Louis,

Thank you. Your photos are helpful. Do yiou happen to have a photo from the other side showing the bracket that is bolted to the clamshell?

Pierre-Louis,

Actually, that shot is helpful. i can see the placement, and that the bracket appears to be a strip of aluminum(?) held on with two bolts. I'll try to magnify it a little later.

It seems to me that the rear bracket is almost the same than the front one (strip of alu, 2 bolts as you noticed), maybe just lightly bent at one end, where a loop in the cable engages, to clear the fiberglass...
