Please ID this Mk II

I took this photograph at Willow Springs International Raceway on May 10, 2002. Can anybody help with the serial number?

I'm almost certain that is my friend's Safir replica. It's powered by an all aluminum FE stroker with 600+ HP and it has two-piece doors where the roof portion can be removed and the car has a targa configuration. Note that it has a Mk 1 nose which is a dead giveaway that its a Safir, as all their Mk 2 cars only had a Mk 2 rear, as far as I know?

P1123 by memory? Could be way way off base though...

I believe that you are right Mike. Note the marker/driving lights as well as the body latches with notches into the rockers. These are both MkIV features.

Mike,

I concur! My XGT2 call was based on the small thumbnail picture so I didn't really look at the unique features on the XGTs vs. a Safir.

Yup, my memory is off--the car is in fact P1131. And it's now owned by my friend in Calgary who bought it from Japan a few years ago.

He says it's very fast. Gee, ya think?
