Identify this GT40?

Hi guys,

Here's a great photo showing how things were done back in the day. Valve cover off, mechanic attending to the valvetrain (note one of the rocker arms looks a bit wonky), with a handful of tools balanced on the tire, and pieces/parts/tools just waiting to get lost in the grass!

Can anybody identify this particular car? You can barely make out the top of the number on the nose....

I have this photo as the #22 Grady Davis/Gulf Oil P1049 in 1966 at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) driven by Dick Thompson.

When the GTD 40 car club used to take part in competition events here in UK this was still a common site as with all competition vehicles sods law states that nothing will go wrong until either the night before the event as you are loading up or something will break between practice/qualy and the first run!

+1
There are several other views same event on the web.
FYI Thompson went on to successful Group II / Trans-Am driving.
