Now that Jaguars have been introduced to the forum, I must tell what is reputed to be a true story. Many years ago long before there was anything much in the way of consumer protection, there was this car yard in Punt Road Richmond. It was run by a guy whose nickname was "the Shark" Some punter saw the Jaguar of his dreams and after the deal was done, Shark asked him where he lived and he said Brighton." Well go down Punt Road to Riverside Avenue and follow that to Williams Road and that will take you home." (for those who don't know Melbourne, Punt Road has a long very steep hill after Riverside Avenue) After about an hour the new owner arrived back at the caryard on foot and extremely upset. " The Jaguar boiled and stopped half way up the Punt Road hill." he spluttered. To which the Shark fixed him with a steely look and said. "Listen mate I sold you a tourer, NOT a bloody hillclimber."
