Following a post in Lola T70 forum I came across a picture of a very young John Love.
In the 1980's John returned to motorsport in Bulawayo and raced a Golf very successfully in the saloon car racing.
I passed a copy of the Lola picture link on to a good friend and he let me know that John had passed away about a month ago after a fight against cancer.
My memories of John in the F1 South African series and endurance racing came flooding back along with my numerous chats and discussions with him when I was racing in the 80's.
He was a true gentleman and will be missed.
