| Re: The Melbourne Cup If she gets a run Makybe Diva. But I will wait until I see the final fields before I commit myself. My horse Forest Jim is running in the race before the cup. |

| Re: The Melbourne Cup Ross, I will be in Noosa on Cup day, over several years it has become a tradition to go to the Noosa surf club and party on cup day. If Forest Jim was running in the cup we would be there, but he is not, so the tradition continues.
Thanks for the compliment. Knowing what your business is I am flattered.

| Re: The Melbourne Cup Like motor sport, horse racing has it's highs and lows.
Forest Jim badly damaged a suspensory ligament during track work yesterday and his racing career is over.
During his career Forest Jim won $501,100.00 in stake money.
He had 53 starts, for 8 wins 9 seconds and 4 thirds. He finished in the top 5, 28 times.
We will find him a paddock with sweet grass and a few old mates to retire too. |

| Re: The Melbourne Cup Sorry too about the horse Pete but I'm not a gambler so i'll stick to mechanical horses. Thanks Chris you no doubt have read my dnf explanation on the board elsewhere. Not a cheap business this.An interesting point from the admirers of the 40 at Sandown is that when I travel up the back straight
they can't see my car above the armco.

| Re: The Melbourne Cup Thanks guys, it appears now after more scans that Forest Jim's injury is not as bad as we feared. It seems the tendon was not torn but was badly bruised. He will still be out for an extended spell but may be able to race again. |
