Re: POLL - Monitor Resolution

Just pick the highest or higher than any listed. There was no way I was going to find all the latest resolutions involving wide screen monitors as well as "normal" resolutions, basically I'm looking to see if at least most people are running 1024x768.

Re: POLL - Monitor Resolution

For those unsure how to tell -

In Windows, move the mouse pointer to somewhere on the desktop other than an icon and click the Right-hand button.

Scroll down the list to 'properties' and click the left-hand mouse button.

From the new window that opens - select (by clicking left hand mouse button) the 'settings' tab.

This will then display the current set resolution, eg 800x600 or 1024x768 etc etc..

Looks like 1024x768 is acceptable to nearly all visitors.

Re: POLL - Monitor Resolution

OK, I use a variety (1280x1024 is most 17" - 19" LCDs, 1152x864
is the PowerBook, and 1280x800 is the Sony laptop), but if
you are concerned with what is the best general res, I'd
design for 1024x768 or 1280x1024, probably the former. People
with older CRTs and/or poor eyesight will thank you profusely,
everyone else probably won't even notice. Hell, it pops up
fine on the 24" Dell running 1920x1440 or whatever!

Re: POLL - Monitor Resolution

I used to use 1024x768, but I'm running 1600x1200 on my mew system. Fabulous detail in GTR and GT Legends etc.
