Looks great. I keep dreaming of an F150 Lightning, but the price of petrol keeps me sane |

| Re: An appropriate Tow Vehicle Ouch Tim yes its a slush box auto.I'm getting old.The girly 6 is a bit tough on me though.Actually it's got 182kw, more than my old XR8 and it tows ok so get off my back you guys.anyway at least it's a Ford and not a Holden (the enemy).Actually Tim seeing as how you have a foot in the GM camp did it occur to you a Gen3 may have fitted your GT40 and sailed through the emmissions process, I wonder.I know Cobra owners are fitting non Ford engines but I think a GT40 should only ever have a Ford V8 in it.Shoot me down if you disagree.
John the reason it took me nearly 12 months to post these pics is that they went into the roundtuit
basket. Now how do you take that damn date off the camera pics?

Rep Power: 15 | Re: An appropriate Tow Vehicle The ONLY correct tow vehicle for a GT40 is a 1963 Ford Econoline, white with blue sill stripes painted on (by hand, with a brush and masking tape) and a Tolemans single axle trailer....like the one FAV used!
The throbing power of a massive 170 CID six cylinder straining against the weight of the trailer and a '40 while climbing a hill is not to be underestimated. And even more fun with a LHD truck in a RHD country!

I made the trailer myself. It weighs 220kg, and is a dream to tow. Made to suit Lotus 7. |
