Rep Power: 29 | There was a '89 Porsche 930 Slantnose with 681 miles on it that was in pristine condition on eBay, but my wife would have literally killed me if I bought an $86K car. I had a hard time grasping that the factory Slantnose option cost almost $30K back in '89. It even had BBS wheels like the compomotive on my GT40! '89 930

Lynn

I suppose I could accomodate her, after all I won't be wasting any "manpoints" to put it in the garage.

We need a new thread... what three cars, that you could remotely afford if you weren't working a GT40, would you want?

And, since you've got ALL that spare time, I'm sure you'll be building the Vanwall GPRV12 with a ally mono chassis that I'm fond of, so, I'll have one of those for 2008.
I'll set it up so that my paycheck simply goes directly into your account each month.
I mean, damn, these GT40s are so common nowadays they're like Cobras or something! |

That GPRV12 is way cool looking, but how would you get out of it? It looks like it would take a skyhook to exit the thing without burning the flesh off your thighs.
Still, it might be worth it (at least once--what is that saying, "Drive it like you stole it"?). V12 power in a 1000 pound car?
Yee--haw!!

Rep Power: 7 | AMS LS2-T (the prototype I'm building-you'll have to wait for some pics).
Lola T70 MkIII (not the 'B' jobbie) Joe T's bodyshell on Fran's chassis would do the trick nicely.
Ferrari 288GTO replica.

Rep Power: 29 | Since everyone is picking several cars:
This Koenigsegg CCR will do:
But I can't decide between the Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512 (and I am not talking about the 512BB, although if anyone has one they want to give away, I would give it a good home. lol)
Regards,
Lynn

Rep Power: 11 | Hopefully I'm playing by the rules here- cars I'd love to call mine, in random order:
962 (yep, that thing again), the sexy long-tailed endurance racing version:
WRC Escort circa 1999
And one of our own has created something VERY lustworthy: |

Rep Power: 29 | Well, it just so happens that for all you 962 fans, there is one available: 1986 Porsche 962C, 4th place at Le Mans 1987
It's being sold on eBay by Monte Shelton Jaguar of Portland, OR. There are 5 days left in the auction and bidding stands at just a shade of $82K.
Regards,
Lynn

Rep Power: 3 | If I wasn't going to visit Fran's RCR the next 15th of September to plan buying his great RCR 40 in the coming months
Then it could be :
Lotus Exige
Noble M12
Lambo Miura
If I can break the rule ... I also love the Ferrari Dino

Rep Power: 10 | The Dark Side..... I have been feeling a shift to the dark side and this is what I would go for....
Height could be an issue as I would put a 365 F101 engine in it (V12) and would lose 4" of already cramped cabin space if I went with the NF Developments (Nobel) kit. These kits are a few inches higher than original and use a box section frame. I would want a tubular steel frame chassis as per original. Buy the engine, bodywork and windscreen, and go from there.
Hey Fran.... do you sell just the bodywork and windscreen?
