I need one of these....

http://www.rotecradialengines.com/0RotecR3600/R3600.htm

I don't know what I'd do with it, but I sure would like to have one.

Have a look at the pictures of development and building the engine, cool stuff.

Ron

I wonder how that thing does with heat and idling or low speeds? Radials are generally designed with propwash for cooling in mind. On the other hand, most of these "custom choppers" are never really ridden and it won't generate much heat sitting in front of the bar.

Thumbs up Next Project!

I can see a Scale Corsair or Thunderbolt in the Earp Garage. Fran will need to get the English Wheel out of retirement,& sharpen up on his composite skill's!

Probably not a Corsair or Tbolt, and I might not need an English wheel.....

....but some other skills instead.....

Can't do it now, but I promised myself I would really investigate this when I turned 40. I've seen a couple in person and have talked to some local EAA people about doing one. The one pictured I have not seen in person, it is a Kiwi plane, and probably one of the prettiest of the breed I've noticed.
