Boots was #1 in 1966, so yes is the answer.

Yes. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I
remember as a kid seeing her on a USO show from Vietnam(?). So, it had to be GT40 time.

| Re: is this song from geetee era? Paolo, when that song was top of the pops I was about 17. We didn't have a t.v. in those days so that is the first time I have seen that film clip.
Lucky I didn't see it when I was 17, otherwise I would have an overgrown right arm.

Rep Power: 18 | Re: is this song from geetee era? My dad had a Scopeitone. It was a bizzare juke box with a 16mm projector in the bottom that played a 16mm films that were loaded on this drum that spun around the projector it was a big momma. I ended up trading it for a 1950 Seeberg Jukebox. Both have more relays and odd mechanical technology, but were ingeniously designed with the technology of the time.
This was the only 'video' that I really liked as a kid, go figure.
I think the Scopitone's were made in the France or the UK, but not sure. Cool music video in any case.
Here a link for old timers that may remember... Scopitones.com
