New position in the forum

:pepper:
After the latest fight on Chris Melia thread, it looks like the forum has got a new position.......which is at this stage represented by me......

"THE AGITATOR"

sorry for that. A suggestion.....why don't you open a new info source based on votes???

The fans list of any member of the forum. Should't be so bad.
Just to make some more fun.:dead:

Of course I am joking, but also I appreciate all of them who are following with interest my technical explanations and do not who are thinking I am a clown. One thing I understood after Dave Morton's suggestion:
take it easy.

Ready to answer to all the technical matters regarding manual road use transmissions with extreme pleasure. Pls, do not ask me to criticise directly other products.

In order to give the right way indications, pls find attached my curriculum and my specialisation.
Cheers

The AGITATOR

After the drudgery of school, Wanni started to fulfil his ambitions in 1983 at Lamborghini as a production mechanic working on the construction of Countach rear axles, Countach gearboxes, Jalpa gearboxes, LM002 transfer cases, hydraulic transmissions for power boats with Lamborghini engines and the prototype and initial production of Diablo axles and gearboxes. After 6 years it was time to move on to pastures new.

Whilst moving from Sant’ Agata to Campogalliano was not very far, Wanni was almost immediately sent to the Porsche development centre at Weissach to gain further transmission development experience. The first project was the Bugatti EB110 – both the GT and SS models. Following the commencement of production, Wanni went to work on the development of the EB112 on the Schenck 4 wheel drive dynamic test bench.

In 1995 when Bugatti unfortunately went into liquidation, he was firstly employed by the ffice:smarttags" /><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

Monaco Racing Team (MRT) for their IMSA & BPR programs. Following this he spent time in Athens as workshop manager of Trident Cars (the official importer and dealer of Maserati, Lotus, Lamborghini and Bugatti) for 8 months. In the meantime a new project was proposed by Peter Tutzer to Wanni; the development of a quadracycle for Iso Rivolta at the facilities of Foligno. The project was successfully completed in 2 years.

At the end of this project he went back to the powered automotive world, indeed the extreme sportscar environment. Initially developing for CIMA SpA, in collaboration with Pagani, a 6-speed transaxle transmission with 750 Nm torque capability. That initial project was completed in 2000 form when it has been continually refined and re-engineered and is now the specified transmission by over 12 manufacturers in the extreme sports car market.

Currently Wanni is working on the development of the following projects:

The sequential unit for the T750 series transmission; an upgrading to 1.000 Nm of this unit, the application of an active differential to this unit and as well on an innovative paddle shifting system with a “for life drive away unit”. All those mechatronic applications are made in collaboration with a new company part of GearFox Group, Automac Engineering, under the brand FoxMatic.
Hydraulic lifters or wings actuators or any other motorised or robotised automotive matters are now possible and/or available thank to that joint venture.

A dual clutch transmission working in collaboration with Hoerbiger, who manage the hydraulic and electronic aspects of this unit; A front wheel drive sequential gearbox for Diesel racing cars, with application across Petrol series, which has been started in collaboration with Alfa, primarily for the JTD CUP and now is going ahead with OPEL PERFORMANCE CENTER.

An automated, fast change motorcycle gear system and other interesting projects like an electronicly controlled CVT for hybrid and electric vehicles.

Wanni is available for consultations on all matters transmission and powertrain related. Just contact Gearfox for more details.

Hi Wanni,

This post isn't a forum annoucement, a question about the forum, nor forum feedback. Therefore, it has been moved from the "Forum Annoucements, Questions, and Feedback Forum" to The Paddock, where anything goes.

Best Regards,
Ron

At your best convenience, my friend.
Apologise for the mistake.
I feel protected by having a guard angel like you vigilating on me.
Ciao bello.

Wow Wanni! Nice Resume'!

For the rest of us......

I may be out of line, if I am, please forgive me.

As I have read most of the posts on this great site, I do wonder if maybe language has something to do with perceptions.

For most of us, English is our first language. However, there are users/members whose second/third language is English and for the love of "the car", they post here. I'm glad they do!

I have to wonder if certain posts seem brash or maybe not appropriate to a certain thread because of the language barrier. I could be completely wrong, and If I am, please tell me. Just my 2 cents.

I do not understand if there is something to read between the words or not, but it is my limitation.
My genuine answer to your question is that I have not been through all the forum sections. I am too concentrate in transmissions. On top of it I do not have more then probably 65-70% of the English under control.
Only a schoolastic English is at my disposal without any slang or common way to say something with other words or word games and so on. Even actually I do not not if you are friendly or not or if I am in a trap and so on. Normally I have my UK partner writing contracts or declarations or......
I can not tell him to write for me in a forum.
So, please take it in this way or if you do not, better to avoid to read my threads.
My mother tongue is French ( lived 15 years in Swiss ) and making all the obbligatory schools there. Then Italian became a MUST. I learned this bit of English in Miami in 40 days. Every night I was in a commercial center and by going to see a physical chicken, I assumed it was collecting the words from the sticker.
I tried the same in Suzuka ( Japan ), but I couldn't perform it due to the characters difference.
What I was doing in Miami???
Preparing for the 24 H of Daytona a Bugatti EB 110 SS in 1996 driven by Olivier Grouillard, Derek John Hill and Gildo Pallanca Pastor.
We was guests of Hawk Marine, the engine division of Cigarettes Boats in 188th street, North Miami Beach.
The car returning from Suzuka Pokka 1000 kms could not return to Montecarlo for refurbishment.
Out of such a teacher, would you expect more then that in terms of dialog capability???
Advise.

Wanni, I'm American, and I think your English from 40 days in Miami is very understandable. I admire you, Paolo, and all the other people who contribute here, and whose mother tongue is not English.

I lived in Tunisia for 6 years, and have worked all around the French part of North Africa for nearly 16 years, so my French isn't bad, but I do not think I would join any French Internet forums and be able to make meaningful contributions.

Bon courage!

John

:D thank u guys, think also this is a way to learn better engish (be sure down here in italy it is absolutely not so easy to find people able to talk also a few english, cause school lacks a lot in this. Here we study english literature..in italian. We are probably the last european country in english speaking).

Mine comes from a full immersion course I did when I was a child (2 years in an innovative school we had in Milano, with mother tongue people that DIDNT talk one word of italian..), from the reading of all the entire collection of Squadron signal military books (and also all the Osprey serie;) )..and probably, first of all, cause my girlfreind is Swedish.

The final step was to fall in love with the gt40,and so this a needing to stay here inside and learn always something more.

Italy is a wonderful place, but I think there is also something there outside, and if I want to know more,I have at least to try talk the language they need.

Just i think english knowledge is as money....it is never enough, at least for me

Wanni, we have had "agitators" here before, and I suspect we will have them again. As far as I'm concerned, the most important difference between you and them is the fact that you bring the transaxle tech, in a big way, whereas the other "agitators" (e.g., Meat and Oliver) made no meaningful technical contributions to the forum. Besides, your agitating behavior isn't anywhere near as abrasive as theirs was. I am glad you're here because, in my not-so-humbe opinion, your presence increases the signal/noise ratio of this forum.

Wanni,

Your website shows transaxels, presumably for sale. Can these be mounted up to Ford /Chevrolet engines for this range of reproduction cars?

Ciao

John, mon ami,

Wanni,

I don't have a dog in this transaxle race, so I have no issues with your posts at all. It was obvious to me from the start that you had great knowledge about transaxles. I'm surprised to see your rep power in the red b/c I even gave you some rep after one of your posts particularly impressed me.

I agree with Mark. I missed Meat on this forum, although I did catch him on one of the Cobra forums. Unfortunately, I did not miss Oliver. Mark is right on about your contributions.

Having completed a masters degree in Speech Pathology, a field in which language development is probably the paramount issue at hand, I can assure you that the English language is not far behind Portugese and Japanese in difficulty level. Your command of English is also impressive after only 40 days of immersion during your visit to Miami.

Continue to post, please--I look for and read all your posts. I could see that some of the forum protocols got past you, but given your limited exposure to our culture, I just overlooked it. To me you are not an agitator at all. However, I do understand why the forum administrators suggested you change your approach. This forum does have a good reputation and I, for one, believe that's the reason the membership has grown by leaps and bounds, attracting very knowlegable and competent contributors such as yourself. I support their quest to continue the forum's growth and direction.

Paolo, think that my wife comes from Kazakhstan ( ex USSR ).
She knows a couple of languages in order to insult me without any reply.

After Miami, which was 11 years ago, I have been visiting some more supermarkets.
One thing which is helping me a lot, is that I do not care to tell a bullshit.
As it is happening, somebody will tell me that it is not correct.
Or no way to perform.
