If you could bring back any 3 old road race cars from say the 1960's till today, what would they be? If you had a time machine and could go back & just grab one off the starting grid of LeMans or any other race track in the world, what would you take?

Great replies guys!! I'm a little more modern but I'll post my 3...

917-30 ( I love excess of power!!)
Bentley EXP Speed 8 (Absolutely Beautiful!)
Mazda 787B (I love the sound of this car!)

Remember, 1960's to present day!!! Keep them coming guys!!!

Brian,

Great Thread!

My garage would be expanded to make room for:

1. Scuderia Filipineti GT-40 P1033.
2. Ferrari 250/275 LM. (anyone would do just fine).
3. Fred Lorenzen Ford 427 Galaxie #28: Winner/Atlanta 500 on 04/04/1964.

#1- Got to sit in it once, its Red, and sooooooo nice. Very, very nice!;)

#2- Not alot of history with Ferrari, but if this is entry level, damn nice!:)

#3- Got my drivers license in an 'ol '64 Galaxie 500XL, my first speeding ticket, my first....well, we won't talk about the back seat.:pepper: :pepper: :pepper:

Boy...only three.
Mine would have to be:
1- Cobra Daytona Coupe CSX-2299 (plucked out of anywhere in the 65' season)
2- GT40 1075 (snatched just after the 69' LeMans)
3- Ferrari 250 TR (pick a year... :)

GT40 (well, Duh!) MK I, Possibly P102 in first LeMans trim or maybe even a spyder......

Eagle F1, Belgian GP winner. The likes of Gurney we shall never see again, driver, constructor, team manager.....and motorcycle enthusiast.

Up for grabs between an early sixties Aston race coupe and a Type 61 Maserati Birdcage, jusr because they both look so "period" and are from my era of awaking to the wonders of motorsport.

But ask me again in an hour, I may have changed my mind......
