Lately I have been really interested in Super GT, that crazy Japanese GT race series. They seem to have some really fantastic rules that allow some really impressive mods that turn already cool cars like Lambo's and Porches into wild monsters, probably the fastest GT cars ever. These rules also balance the cars out so they are all pretty much equal. The result is truly amazing, the diversity of the field is shocking... and the race is exciting!
I really hope this series expands into the the USA (not just 1 race) and gets some international teams. I would love to see an S7 out there... or even a crazy mustang!

I saw an article about the Ford GT in Racecar Engineering magazine that races in the series. That car is so heavily modded its carzy; It seems the only ford part of the car is the cockpit area, the suspension in the front and the rear are completely re-engineered units! They even got rid of the Ford engine and put a 3.5L v8 in with a stressed gearbox, F1 style. Truly amazing ...
