I'm on the verge of touching myself inappropriatel
Anyone over across the pond wanna bring a poor young car lover over so he can experience first hand the beauty that is LeMans? LOL

I'll be watching it on Speedvision.

Le Mans 24 H race is nice if you are walking around the track all the night.
Nobody cares about the race, everybody drunk, one different party every 20 meters.
The interest for the race is for the first and last 2 hours.
This is Le Mans ACO 24 H. And believe, it is not bad at all. Only negative thing, it becomes every year more and more sofisticated and expensive. I hope it will not become an endurance F1 race.
When I was there, in 1994, when Jochen Dauer won the race with a 962, there still was the possibility to compete. Our Bugatti EB110SS, 90% original street car wasn't bad at all, until thanks to the air restrictors, the turbos, one after the other blowed up. 4 turbos. 5 hours in the box. Returned in the race we was still in a permitted position. New target....finish the race.....it is not for everybody. 2 Toyotas where blowing a gearbox every hour 50 min. The car was designed for the replacement of the complete rear train in 4 minutes. We was racing with the road synchronised gearbox. Never mind. After 23h42min the youngest driver, Jean Christophe Bouillon, 18 years old at the time, decide to overtake a Viper driven by René Arnoux in a chicane.....a veteran. What do you think it happend??? Our young driver flying into a wall, distroying all the front of the car. Race finished. 18 minutes before the end. 3 bottles of Champagne were already unsecured and the tao was holded in by force.
This is also Le Mans.
Ciao

wonderful tale wanni:)...seems to see u there, and would love to hear live your comments about the race in progress:lol: (18yrs driver..mavafffan..)
Le mans is a too cool location, think probably me and that other italian fools present at the classic 2006 will be back there (but this time probably no camper..maybe a plane will be much more comfortable).

The calendar for car nuts as we are in 2008 is really "hot".
I am forcing a lot cause I wanna be a pilgrim in next year Ring 24 hours race (thats a REAL porno show guys..:pepper:"desperados" uber alles!),LM classic is scheduled for july...and also goodwood is more or less in that period.

A too cool news I knew from my girlfriend living in Goteborg is that she told me STCC will race in the city for the next june :)eek:volvo and bmws running near the opera house) and so,being also that one a too cool desperados champ I cant miss it:D

11th to 13th July 2008 is the same weekend as the DTM race at either Zandvoort or the Nurbugring and it looks as though I may be working.
Unless things change , unfortunately, I cannot attend Le Classic du Le Mans.

Wanni,
I was there in 94, and remember some of that. First year for the Panoz if I remember, there was little sleep close to the track with that beast circling. Interesting to here about some of it from someone behind the scenes.
