It seems a challenge to get the car to the target weight with V10 iron block .... or has someone developed an ally block for the Viper engine? |

Jac Mac | Thanks Jac,
You know. I should pay better attention, then I would'nt make uninformed (stupid) statements like this :-P
So, how much does the ally block V10 engine weigh compared to the iron lump? |

Which will also likely save him the costs of tooling up and producing a windshield... Just use the Lotus one.
My opinion though is it's not a bad thing to resemble an Elise. |

716 lb early with accessories--Alloy
648 lb 97>>------------------Alloy
816 lb Early iron-- Truck
836 lb Later iron-- Truck
Bare engine assy would show a greater weight difference between car/truck, probably around 40/50 lb. Have this somewhere in the forrgotten file dept if you really really 'need' to know as we had this motor on a short list for AG aircraft conversions some years ago.
Early motors had harmonic problems @ higher continous rpm.
