How low?

I was rolling along in the 40 a few days ago and looking up at lorry tyre tops and number plates (as you do) and thought low thoughts.
The GT40 was circa 40" high as we all know but which was the lowest other cars of the era? Here's my vote as a bit of a fan of the Piper marque. The first pic is of the Le Mans Piper GTR which was I believe a whole 29" high - it sure felt low when I sat in it. Nice to have a GT40 towering over something.
The second pic is of a road car - the Piper GTT or P2 which is just a bit lower than a GT40. Quite a rare car with about 20-30 made. I have a pic of the largest gathering ever of these cars with a massive 11 turning up! We used to have a metallic green P2 with a 1,700cc BDA. My friend still has a yellow P2 with crossflow Ford motor.

Can anyone go lower than the GTR?
Cheers
Mike
