Scary stuff, the way the car snapped sideways it looked like something broke. How was the driver?

Video: Stephane Ortelli survives horrific crash at Monza — Maximum Motorsport

they talk of a broken ankle.
I stopped to film with my camera when ambulance arrived, cause watching that "live" really makes your heart arrive to brain (and u think everything in such moments, also to tragedy). We spctators were anyway quiet cause he anyway moved arms and unlock the steering wheel, trying to get out of the car.
They worked on the crashed monocoque for up to 10 minutes before bring Stephane into the ambulance.

Prototypes do not give the speed sensation u can have when watching formula1.
Asap such cars touch grass they start to fly(I had the time to see the spin) ...and thought all will be finished there...then see this colored Courage flying as a card plane, and just for a miracle it missed Mc Nish Audi.
I have filmed another Courage touching grass an hour before and crossing all the track at a very high speed, in drift.

I think Ortelli had a tyre failure (all this happened 29 laps before finish).

Given the extent of the damage, he is a lucky man.

I see the underbody mods introduced to stop the cars flying worked well
