My cousin was able to make it to the 2008 EAA Fly-in at Oshkosh WI and sent me some pics (I'll attach them later) but I thought I would share the URL for their site here..

It was fun to watch their prototype fly at Airventure. I think they get perhaps 60 seconds of burn time on the rocket motor but they take the 60 seconds and break it down into a number of shorter burns (followed by quite a bit of glide time).

Even though watching the prototype fly was great, watching it taxi was even better. Remember, the only way the airplane can move forward is by lighting the rocket motor. Taxing the airplane means lighting off the motor in short bursts to get the plane to scoot forward... what a hoot!

wow...

i wonder how those compare with the me163, which had ~8 minutes of burn time, and were also designed as rocket/gliders.
