interesting.
I would say he is trying to direct unburnt fuel in the squish band into the spark plug area not just into the chamber.
4 valves have tumble but no swirl so maybe it is helping with the flame propagation.
Only way to know is try it.
You would know if it has given gains by ignition timing I would imagine.
