He was hooked on oxycotton and the "Doctor hooker" had just given him a demerol shot. The doctor should either be shot or get a child saving medal depending on how you look at it! Some parents will have to rethink their retirement (sick bastards)
I am not the largest Jackson fan, but again another group of people passing judgement.
Judge not let ye be judged...
Everyone wants to claim that he was "strange" but how could he not be? From the age of 5 the entire world has wanted him, for what ever reason. Fans stalking him, from every angle cameras in his face 24 hrs a day. That WILL change your perception of reality. But that was his reality, heck he didnt even get the chance to go to the store and shop without a camera in his face until 2006, yes that is 3 years ago.
Come on people, lets be honest could you live with that?
He never had a child hood and when he realized that he missed it he wanted to recreate it..... And if you think about it isnt that what we are doing in building these replicas of 40 year old cars?????

In Jackson's case I think it's more of an example of the very fine line that separates genius from madness.
From the age of 5, it was Berry Gordy that wanted him and his brothers for the Motown label - not the whole world. And it's Lest not Let.
Adrian, I'm sure we all have our own opinions but I think you are mistaken about people passing judgement. I wouldn't expect you or anyone else on this website to adopt the so called moral high ground and tell me I am wrong to voice my opinion. After all, anything goes in the Paddock unlike the other threads where some degree of moderation is rightly exercised.
Dave M
David you are 100% correct, but be prepared when not all agree with you when you post on an open forum, and unless I am mistaken he was called "Jackson was a total nut case - totally whacko and , allegedly, a paedophile. " by you, if that is not judgemental then what is???
I think that I am more inclined to agree with Daryl on this one, but you cannot deny the fact that if no one bought the albums that Mr Gordy and company produced this would never be a topic open for discussion, now would it????
So to say that the whole world feels the loss is a bit of an exaggeration but I am willing to bet in the corner of the world that you call your own there is someone having a discussion about how great an entertainer he was.
And for the record, I dont agree nor do I condone everything that he did, but I can understand it.
I'm having a bit each-way here, I went to a concert of his in the 80's and I still remember it as one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Both musically and dance wise.
But if even a quarter of the allegations against him are true he will be dancing with the devil right now.
The jokes started almost immediately after his death was announced, is anyone likely to be offended if some of them appear here? As David M pointed out, this is the paddock where anything goes. Don't really want to have to wear my flame suit over a harmless joke though.

Yeah a bit eccentric but what artist isnt. Also never judge based on some tv show after all the media and tv have to sell something thus they manipulate like crazy. take the michael moore movies then watch the documentaries about how he manipulated situations etc...
Anyhow, he was never convicted of doing anything illegal, ie touching kids, thus he is innocent. People may say they because he paid off the court hearing he is admitting guilt, but i can tell you allot of my friends are lawyers and i have been in court and simply paying a few pennies to get someone to piss or or taking an out of court settlement is not admitting anything other than 'i dont have time for your shit, here take this and f**k off' excuse the french.
Anyhow that out of the way.... It's a shame to loose such a talented artist and performer. rip
Talented - yes,if his music was your kind. Strange - I don't see how anyone, even his most ardent supporter could argue this is an understatement .
Anyway, I just figured out why his pants were always so short ! They were Macauley Culkin's !

Ha, once again the Aussie's are into the breach were Kiwi's fear to tread.
Let me know if anything offends but here goes.
Breaking News; Casper the friendly ghost was molested today.
Breaking News; Michael did not die of a heart attack. He actually had a stroke outside the children's ward.
Breaking News; All the jockeys at Santa Anna wore black armbands in respect of Michael today; They reckon he has ridden more three year olds than all of them put together!
Breaking news. McDonald's have released the Jackson Burger; It is a fifty year old piece of meat between two ten year old buns.

Cruel!
They've had the results of the autopsy in....
The doctor said he didn't know whether to blame it on the sunshine, blame it on the moonlight, blame it on the good times or blame it on the boogie.
I know, it's awful.

Never liked his music, think that anyone caught messing around with children should be castrated. Maybe he was already thats why is voice was so high. I make memorials for true hero's and people who should be honored and they don't get a fraction of the press this weirdo has gotten. I am sick of hearing about his death. Has he been good for our country? All he has done is make us Americans look like bigger idiots than we are already. Our luck we will have another holiday named after him.

Re: Michael Jackson Dies of heart attack
Personally, I think Farah Fawcett's death from cancer was sadder than MIchael Jackson's.
If you think the controversy over Elvis's death was bad, and Anna Nicole Smith's was worse, just wait until this "controversy" over what "killed" MIchael Jackson is done with (if ever).
Guys i too am rather disgusted at the passing of a pop star overshadowing world turmoil, a musical genious, thats without a doubt, strange yes, but given his circumstances understandable, but as for his other more public so called problems, purely hearsay instagated by greedy parents, who succesfully fleeced him for millions, but no court ever found any evidence to prove the so called allegations
I have a Brother inlaw in Sydney who is gay and proud of it, well one of his best freinds a fellow KIWI was MJ's make up and hair stylest for years, and apprently he was only "Wacko Jacko" in the public eye, behind closed doors he was as normal as you and I, his biggest problem was a lost child hood as someone correctly pointed out, that he tried so hard to recreate.
dont get me wrong i'm not condoning his life and i was never a fan, but he's gone, let him lay in peace finaly, as he sure as hell never had any when he was alive

Often said (including in this thread) that there is a fine line between genius and madness - Michael Jackson moon-walked across that line time and again.
