Is this a screwed up world or not

Transocean executives award themselves a safety bonus for have the safest year in 2010 after nine people died, how many people have to die for a bad year! The 25% of the executive’s bonuses are based on safety and therefore it leads to manipulation of the statistics by mitigating the incidents and accidents before they are recorded.
The adverts on TV paint a rosy picture about how good they are in helping communities and small businesses and the environment but all is is lip service so that they can pat themselves on their back and award themselves another hefty bonus while the average worker may get a small financial reward or a trinket made in China that is of such low quality that it is useless after a few days.
What a great bunch of humanitarians they are and this is just one industry and I am sure it is not unique.
