This is spectacular to watch – nature at its best - an Eagle Owl coming at the camera and captured at 1,000 frames per second.

(If you are a tech-head, watch how the feathers near the leading edge of each wing reveal turbulence and stall as it comes in to snatch the food)

Thanks Pete - hadn't seen that one. I could watch raptor videos all day long. I had started the design of an ornithopter a few years back and began collecting videos like this one. There are some amazing ones out there. There is another one almost exactly like that and it's an owl also I believe.

All things are beautiful, but I must say seeing birds in flight like that is something else.
