Goodwood accident this weekend

A lady driver has lost her life at Goodwood this weekend.

Jimmy, we were competing at that event yesterday, aweful conditions, heavy rain and a lot of standing water, very difficult conditions for lightweight race cars. The accident happened right at the start line, car span and impacted the end of the pitlane wall backwards at speed. Very depressing day for all. Frank

Sad business... she was quite young, it appears. Really a tragedy. Motor racing is still dangerous, although not as bad as it once was.
