Original Volkswagen Parts

As some of you know like a few old fuds my age, I race Formula Vees which are based on original pre-1967 Type I Volkswagen parts. Notwithstanding my hitting the wall at Sebring last week, a number of us are looking for original Volkswagen bug parts and the sources are really drying up. Does anyone have any suggestions for VW scrapyards or other new or used parts sources?

How about VW themselves?

I happen to run VW transporter Type 2 CVs and Driveshafts on my GT40 and in the UK they could still supply complete or any parts thereof!

That takes me back I raced one of those out in Zimbabwe in 1984 - 1985 Great fun and a good balancing act to get the rear to stick with the swing arm suspension!

Veek when I was into VW's 20+ years ago we always used Adams VW in West Palm Beach. They had multiple acres of parts cars
