There used to be a real thrashed one that used to be parked all around the center of Hollywood in the Seventies. At least, it ran, and NO it wasn't for sale!

I love these cars, not the least because I missed my window to get one while they were still affordable. But back then they were just used cars, nice used cars, but used cars. I made several attempts to buy 300SLs, but none worked out. Now even the Ostermeier replicas are too expensive for me.....

Well, at least I have a 280SL. Some consolation.
