Thanks for the link Chris. I don't know how it is there, but over here I doubt you'd get away with sending it letter. We used to be able to send stuff up to about 10kgs "letterpost" but not any more - you'd be lucky to get away with 2 sheets of shite paper the thieving buggas...:furious:

Keith, as per Chris's suggestion you can send up to 500 grams by international letter, which is 1.1lbs. So I think it is possible.

Yes a letter is fine! My partner sends letters with all sorts in them back to Germany even chocolate
We take the envelope into Australia Post and they pass it through a slot to guage the size. If it fits through its a letter. The difference is about $5 or $50 so we post mutiple letters sometimes as its cheaper than one package. The trick is you have to ask them to test it as some clerks dont realise and just say oh its international that makes it a parcel...
