Shipping Furniture - Germany to Aus Help

Hi guys,
Anyone ever shipped furniture or similar type goods from Germany to Australia. The furniture holds sentimental value more than anything. I met my partner overseas and she has now been living here 3 years, would be nice if we could have some of her families affects around.
She lived North West, closest port would be Hamburg.

Depending on how much you are thinking about , go for a container or advertise
for a part container. Consolidated container freight is an established way of sending stuff but some countries insists absolutely zero wood. Furniture might be problematic with cushions and wood so beware.

Your DAFF would definitely be interested in the wood bit. Worst case is refusal or they keep it in quarantine after treatment for pests etc. Best check with them first on the do's & dont's of personal imports. I believe Oz and NZ have the toughest quarantine laws on the planet.
