that's pretty much how it goes in china as well, but the strange thing is it seems to work, and in the 2 weeks we were their we never saw one accident large or small,

Just stick a big circle in the middle to drive round and call it a roundabout. Been working well here for about 100 years!

Well, one has to admit their system somehow manages to create ZERO traffic jams/backups, whereas a equal amount of traffic going thru a similar intersection over here would likely result in at least 100 collisions and a dozen shootings per hour!

One would have to conclude the difference lies soley in the attitude/mindset of the drivers.

Kudos to the Ethiopians in that department...
