CIA accused of torture

I see the hand wringing do gooders are out in force after the C.I.A for allegedly torturing a few terrorists after 9/11.
As someone famously said, if you are connecting a battery to their balls the red lead is the positive the black lead the negative.:furious:

Good ole FEINSTEIN and her lib pals just HAD to take one more shot at the "Dubyuh' administration before they lost control of place, didn't she/they. 'Meant SO MUCH to her/them, that even though the guy in the WHITE HOUSE (of all people) said releasing that report would put our people in danger - she/they did it anyway. And why? 'For the chance that a slight, paltry, fleeting, perceived political gain for her/their side might come of it! And again - just like with Oblahblahcare - not one GOP voted for it. 'See a pattern here?

One absolutely has to laugh at the libs' CLAIM that it was done to, in effect, provide 'transparency'! That's a real good one coming from them.

May they "...stifle in (their) own report and smell of calumny" (-The Bard)

FWIW, I think the people who were genuinely the victims of torture (think Chile, Cambodia, etc.) would view the CIA's tactics as being akin to sending them to bed without dinner....

They were not accused of it, it was shown that it happened. As for getting any info it was said years ago that they basically got nothing. Why do you figure that we need to get ourselves to the levels of third world countries when we discuss torture and punishment? Shouldn't we strive to be better than our enemies?

THREE different CIA heads AND the guy credited with being the 'architect' of the interrogation program ('forget his name right now) ALL SAID - ALL SAID - vital info was gained via the program and that it saved thousands of lives...'that we got UBL because of it (in addition to other things).

Now, whom do you think we should believe? THOSE FOUR guys? Or the likes of Feinstein & co...WHOSE COMMITTEE, by the way, DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO INTERVIEW A-N-Y-B-O-D-Y involved on the CIA side! 'Sorta like Feinstein cloning/adapting/following Rolling Stone's investigative/fact checking policy in a rape accusation story...if you will.

Good gallopin' krymuny...

Diane Feinstein is so upset with the results of the election that she is willing to potentially sacrifice the lives of more Americans, both military and civilian. She has been the most self-centered politician I have seen in many, many years. Just like a 3 year old who didn't get her own way, she cares nothing about who this will endanger, as long as she can find some way to get back at her adversaries. Time for her to go.
As for the report, it never should have been made public because there isn't any need for the CIA to apologize to the terrorists and certainly not to the American public. Really now, we should feel bad for keeping someone in handcuffs for a day or two while ISIS shows videos of themselves cutting off the heads of innocent Americans?

It begs the question. Media reports that Islamic State militants claim to have constructed a dirty bomb after stealing 40kg of uranium from an Iraqi university. Their boasts of the device on social media describing the destruction such a bomb would wreak in London, four months after the chemical was reported missing from Mosul University. According to the same media reports, their claims have been substantiated in a letter to the U.N. from the Iraqi ambassador.

So suppose one of the senior jihadists with knowledge of the bomb's location is located or is apprehended. Do you:

a. Try to reason with him with the time honored "good cop bad cop" routine, in which one interrogator browbeats the jihadist and the other pretends to be looking out for him.

b. Scare the jihadist into talking by telling him all of the horrible things he'll face if he's convicted of the crime in a court of law. (Mention the soccer fields and "ethnic sensitive" dietary offerings at GITMO.)

c. Seat the jihadist in an uncomfortable chair, out of reach of any controls like light switches or thermostats, furthering his discomfort and setting up a feeling of dependence.

d. Develop a rapport with the jihadist, using casual conversation to create a non-threatening atmosphere claiming to share some of the suspect's interests or beliefs.

e. Inform the jihadist of his right to an attorney and his right to remain silent.

f. Take the ISIS approach (used on members of the Iraqi military), threaten them with a slow and humiliating death as well as the torture and murder of everyone in their blood line. Conduct a few such murder/executions as an encouragement to surviving detainees.

g.Take the former CIA approach of repeated waterboarding (but no more than 90 seconds at a time), sleep depravation, cold room, repeated playing of ”I Love You”, (The Barney Theme).

h. Don't take him into custody, blow the jihadist (and whomever may be in close proximity) to bits with a drone strike.

I just don't think you are asking them nicely enough chaps.. :)

Pat, Pat, PAT...PuhLEEEEEEEEZE...where is your humanity? The Colonel is right! There's only one proper way to handle this:

OBVIOUSLY the first thing we'd have to do is make sure he hadn't been injured during his apprehension. Assuming all was well in that department, we'd then immediately need to read him his Maranda rights (of course) AND assign him the finest team of criminal lawyers the U.S has to offer. We'd then need to clean him up...outfit him with fresh 'duds' (preferably by Gucci and Armani)...fly both him and his team of lawyers to 'Vegas...escort them all to their top-floor suites at The Cosmopolitan so they could 'freshen up' a bit...and then whisk them all away to dinner at Botero (personally supervised by Chef Mark LoRusso himself, of course) after which they'd just have to attend "Le Reve" at The Wynn.

Now, from there................... :evil3::evil3::evil3::evil3::evil3:

Apply moisture liberally, and with your hand on a big switch, just ask them nicely....

"I say old chap, I'm really sorry to bother you, but could I ask you to very kindly let us chaps here know, exactly where

THE FUGGING BOMB IS PLANTED?

Really? I must say that is awfully clever of you, and thank your for helping us save energy by virtue of your kind co-operation."

It doesn't have to be brutal or painful at all.. just a bit shouty.

I would park a couple of Trident's out in the Indian Ocean and inform the world that we have unilaterally withdrawn from what ever treaty restricts the number of mirv'ed warheads we can place on a SLBM.

Then I would hold a press conference and inform the Muslims that if a WMD is used on the USA, our allies, or our interests we will evaporate every capital in the Muslim world and each an every holly site within their borders.

The second one used on us will result in total war against all the mid eastern Muslim world.

Let's start with announcing that, henceforth, pig's blood and/or guts will be smeared aaaall OVER every bullet, bomb, and missile U.S. forces will be using from here on out and any Muslim terrorists we bury will be buried covered with the stuff...then see what happens.

At the very least we'd find out whether or not the story about ole Black Jack Pershing's 'Philippine solution' had any merit.
