Audi Joest WEC Team

As of today, Audi Joest - the WEC competition works team running under the Audi Motorsport banner have ceased to operate. There is a chance they might move to another technology motorsport such as total electric Formula E.
This leaves Porsche and Toyota to share out the spoils in 2017, and my money would definitely be onPorsche.

Just a little light reading - how very successful the Joest team, including (under the guises of Bentley and Goh) were at the 24hr du Le Mans. This only goes back to 1996 when I was asked to join the team. I went on loan to Charlie Lamm's BMW tean in 1999 then back to Joest until the end.

Tod,
I'm seventy next summer and had a serious health issue just recently so
I decided to call it a day and retire. One more European trip (while still in the EU) for champagne from a village called Sacy and another for Italian red (Marabini's Millenium Riserve from Castel Bolognese) and my wine cellar will be full and then some.
That also makes 20yrs at the 24h du Le Mans and mainly for one team.
Quite enough really.
Dave.

Pete,
Thanks. You will also remember the time in F1 1996 until 2008 (when we had some super dinners in Monaco for which I think I still owe you), 5 years of Wimbledon for the BBC , the opera for five years in Verona, DTM, and even flower farming in SA, on top of flying in BA. It all went in a flash. No sooner had one season ended and the next was beckoning.
Dave
